Privacy

Short version: we don't store your letters, we don't sell data, and we don't use tracking cookies.

Who is responsible

Yahya Tarjuman, Schulenburger Landstraße 114, 30165 Hannover, Germany. Email: yahyaxco@gmail.com

Your letters

When you ask for an explanation, the photos or PDF you choose are sent over an encrypted connection to our server and from there to our AI provider, Anthropic PBC (USA), which reads them to write your explanation. We do not save your letters or explanations on our servers; they exist only in your browser after the explanation is shown.

Anthropic does not use this data to train its models. It may keep it for a limited time to prevent abuse, as described in its commercial terms. Transfers to the USA rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Legal basis: performing the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Letters can contain special categories of data, such as health or benefits information; by uploading, you consent to processing them for this purpose only (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time by not uploading.

Cookies and local storage

We use two functional cookies: a random device ID, so we know whether your free letter is used and whether you have paid, and a flag that your free letter is used. Your language choice is saved in your browser. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Payments

Payments are handled by Polar Software Inc. as merchant of record. Polar receives your payment and billing details; we receive only your purchase status, linked to the random device ID.

Hosting and logs

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. Its servers process technical data such as IP address and request time to deliver the site and protect it. We count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, and port your data, and to object, under Art. 15–21 GDPR. Since we don't store letters, there is usually nothing to delete; write to yahyaxco@gmail.com for anything else. You can also complain to a data protection authority.
